Central Defender
Gavin Ronald Oliver, born on September 6, 1962, is an English former professional footballer known for his career as a central defender. He made over 350 Football League appearances during his playing days. Oliver played for clubs such as Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere Rovers, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Bradford City. After retiring from football, he worked in the wholesale wine business, participated in Bradford City's community scheme, helped run a guest house with his wife, and coached at Sheffield Wednesday's Academy. He later moved on to become the Community Officer at Leeds United before taking on the role of Academy Recruitment Officer in 2006.
